Dr Irabien is currently a professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Cantabria (Spain), where he teaches Environmental Pollution and Technology, Sustainable Development at a regional level and Chemical Engineering Fundamentals.
Prior to this appointment at UC, Irabien was teaching and doing research at the Pais Vasco University ( Faculty of Sciences, Leioa)
He is interested in sustainable production and consumption based on process intensification, process integration and Life Cycle Assessment.
